The life of Jesus, who did only good to others, was abruptly ended at the age of 33. The jealousy and insecurity of the so called religious leaders led to such an ignominious death. Similarly the life of Fr. K J who lived a simple and humble life of service and commitment for 33 years as priest was brought to an abrupt end by the hands of cruel miscreants. Jesus warning to the disciples in Luke 23:31 realized in Fr. K J’s life “For if they do this when the wood is green, what will happen when it is dry?”

When Jesus was dying darkness fell over the whole land from the sixth hour to the ninth hour. Then the curtain of the Temple sanctuary was torn in two, from top to bottom; the earth quaked and rocks were split [cf. Mt. 27:45-51]. When Fr K J was bled to death the Bengaluru City was shrouded in darkness and saw for the first time the torrential rain it had never witnessed. The mother earth wept bitterly for her beloved and righteous son’s untimely death in the cruel hands. When his mortal remains bid adieu to his ancestral home the heavens broke down with so far unheard thunders. Looked like the heavenly Father calling him out saying “Come, blessed of my Father! Take possession of the kingdom prepared for you from the beginning of the world.” [Mt.25:34]
